Microsoft signed an agreement with the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to distribute the Computer Online Forensic Evidence Extractor (cofee) to the interests of the field of digital forensics.
NW3C is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement, investigation and prosecution of various forms of crimes involving high technology.
To that end, Microsoft provides a cofee for law enforcement agencies in helping them analyze and investigate complex criminal cases the perpetrators of crimes committed via the Internet and computer technology.
